Assignment 1: What is Creativity

What is Assignment 1?
In Assignment 1 we were asked to break down creativity and explain what it means to us. This assignment allowed me to take a deeper look at creativity and really think about it in a deeper way. It became very obvious as I was writing that creativity can truly be different to every individual. This was a perfect start to our Project Two, which focuses on creative elements. The purpose of this project was to really get down to the bottom of creative thinking, and use that to create a great Project Two.
When completely this assignment I found myself thinking of different ways to tackle Project Two with different creative ideas. It made me think outside the box to the point where my head was just flowing with different ideas. This assignment really helped me explore creativity to a point where it could be very useful to my Project Two.  Overall, this assignment made me really take a deeper look at creativity and how to use it effectively in my project. Taking the time to evaluate creative thinking really helped expand my thinking.

Assignment 1
Creativity to me is something that involves in expanding your thinking. A way to think outside of the box and make something or do something that is totally up to you. It is thinking in way that is the polar opposite of thinking critically. It is when you put your mind at work to really explore your curiosity.
So how does creativity work? Well anyone and everyone can and has thought creative, even if they don't think so. Anytime you are given the opportunity to pick a topic or project, you have the chance to put your creative mind to work. Creative thinking is anything and everything you could ever imagine. It works when you take ideas of your own, or maybe ideas you even got somewhere else and put your own spin or view on them.
I have been involved in a lot of activities that involve a high level of creativity. I have always loved art and sculpture. In highschool I took classes that allowed my to really use my creative mind. Every semester I was required to sculpt a project that was something of my own ideas and plans. I had to make original projects, and it was amazing. I was able to expand my curiosity and bring things to live with a creative mind. I have also used creativity when it comes to writing papers. Not all papers involve creative thinking but projects where I was able to pick the topic I wanted and got to explore that. That is when I got the chance to really be creative. But, I have also used creativity to make a boring project come to life and be more interesting.
